I will explain about Ancient Egypt of geography.
In Ancient Egypt, there is the Nile River. When the Nile River flooded its banks and covered the land.As the river waters drained away, they left behind a layer of rich silt that turned the desert besde the river into green fields, with a lots of food. The egyptions could obtain fish, water, and resources. Also, they could harvest crop and fishing.Because of the Nile River, egyptions could survive, and they could also provide food. Therefore, the civilization made.
In Ancinet Egypt.there is a marshy delta. The marshy delta are was especially rich in resources. In marshy delta, many people lived, and the capital of Ancient Egypt is there too. From the Nile's origins, deep in central Africa, the river flowed northward.Ribbons of green hugged the sides of the river, cutting through the Sahara Desert.Over a thousand kilometres north, the river divided and divided into a delta.A tiangle-shaped marshy area on the north coast of Africa. The people in the marshy delta, they have a lawn,so they could produce crops.
In Anicent Egypt, there is desert out of green zone. The desert beyond the river vally was known as "the red land".Nothing could live there. However, the desert provided sandstone, the egyptians could build buildings and statues.

Climate
Ancient Egypt was a very hot,and very dry land.Temperatures could reach 50 degrees Celsius. It had 2 seasons which were very hot summer and winter.
|
Mesopotamia was hot and dry,the summer temperatures range from 110 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit.
Because of these hot climate,it provided the heat that many plants need to thrive but the rainfall. Fields flooded after the snow melted in the mountains in spring. In late summer, when the water was gone, the fields and crops baked in the hot sun. |
Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia were hot and dry.
River
There is the Nile River which helped one of the civilization that is Ancient Egypt. When the Nile River flooded its banks and covered the land, they left behind a fine, and fertile soil that turned into green fields the desert beside the river.
Because of these, people could live in there, civilizition started, and ancient egyptians could make lawn and harvest crops. By boat, travel was easy in the Nile River.Ancient Egyptions could trade some goods each other, and various settlements felt united in a common culture. All along the Nile River, the river flooded its banks, soaking the land.As the floodwaters went down, they left behind a fringe of fertile black soil. They could trade with another civilization because above the marshy delta is Mediterranean Sea.So,they could trade. Also, egyptians could move in Ancient Egypt by using boat. In Ancient Egypt, they had the cultures. All groups had a culture. It includes everything the people have, think, and their arts, music, institutions, traditions, and ceremonies. Egyptians had the way they provide themselves with food, water, shelter, clothing, and transportation. And they had the way they express themselves through art, language, sports, and their world view. |
In Mesopotamia, large flat area that streches between the Tigris River on the east and the Euphrates River on the west.
Along the rivers, the land was rich in edible plants, fruit, wheat, and barely.Pigs, sheep, and goats lived in the wild and fish and birds were plentiful. People learned domesticate or tame the animals and wild plantes so that they would have a steady supply of food. In Mesopotamia, the silt(fine sand) carried downstream by the rivers built up along the riverbeds, creating excellent, fertile soil. Near the gulf, the rivers split into smaller streams, and creating a marshy area called a delta. The marshy swamps provided reeds that made excellent materials for building houses. Some people could trade their surplus food because there was plenty of food in Mesopotamia. Also they could create goods. In Mesopotamia, people began to develp their skills in leatherwork, pottery, carpentry, weaving, and metalwork. They learned to make gold rings, statuettes covered with lapis lazuli(a blue gemstone),and shell containers for make-up.People could make a good living by trading these goods which mean the economy thrived. |

Reflection
Working in Group
My group member is Danny,David, and Justin. We were making the geography map of ancient egypt.Justin made the pyramid and buildings of ancient egypt.David glued buildings and lawns. He helped me to make Mediterrian Sea,Nile River, and marshy delta.Danny helped me and David, and he wrote explanation about ancient egypt's geography. We were communicated not good because when we were making the map, we had a lots of conversation. How to make the buildings, where to put the things in map,and make the Mediterranean Sea,Nile River, land, etc. We have a lot of things to do.Sometimes we fought that making lawns, but we compromised to build lawns. We used time manageemnt badly.Because we didn't do the project sometimes,or we just did the project slowly and we have lots of things to do.We finished due date of the project after approximately two weeks. When we had a conversation of this project, sometimes we fought. When other group mates wanted to do something but I didn't want,we fought. When that happened,I gave up or I forced them to do I wanted. However,we compromised together and we finished the project!
What I learned about Egypt
In Ancinet Egypt, there were deserts. And there was marhsy delta with Nile River. There were no high mountains.People in Ancient Egypt lived there, and they obtained sandstone from deserts and they could build buildings.Geographical,in Ancinet Egypt, they could build buildings because the land was not high. And they could build buildings because of deserts. Also, there were cataracts,so the Ancient Egypt was protected to invasion.
There is a marshy delta in Ancient Egypt,so egyptians could obtain the crops. They were farming and trade with somebody or get food.In marshy delta, there is Nile River,so they could obtain water and many resources.Above, the marshy delta, there is the Mediterranean Sea,so the egyptians could trade with other civilization.
